Recruiting new board members

All -

As Indiana Virtual School options continue to grow and the demands of our board members continues, we would like to ask members for their serious consideration in serving on the Indiana Virtual Board.  If your interest is beyond virtual options and you remain interested in serving - please submit your interest as well.

What this would require is that you serve for 2 years to sit on a board that reviews the grass roots involvement to influence policymakers and legislators to support favorable education options for Indiana children.  Your time investment would be to attend a meeting once a month in Indianapolis (minimal expenses are paid), input on direction and practical outreach, help to organize and participate (local and state) events.  You will also be asked to consider participating in relative news conferences and legislative sessions/meetings for possible testimony.  There may be occasions that you will be invited and included in special events such as the Charter Association Conference, Capital Day events and other conferences.  Please email your interest directly to info@indianavirtualfamilies.org.  If you have direct questions, feel free to contact the current board president, Monique Christensen at 812-418-3892 or email dandmchristensen@comcast.net.

We hope to review applicants by mid May, have a brief phone interview with the final candidates and provide a summer orientation for new members.

If you are interested, please submit a short paragraph explaining why you feel this is a good fit for you, provide us with two references and a copy of your resume by May 1st.
